Tell your doctor about the thoughts and they may adjust your medicine, but yes, OCD / Compulsive irrational thinking of fears is very very common with us sufferers. The only thing that has ever worked for me is to confront the thought and disarm it, otherwise it always get stronger.
I would imagine in this case confronting this thought would be to tell yourself that what you are having is an irrational thought and switch to something calming. Also when the thought comes say to yourself, "this thought is old and has no power over me anymore, and I will not believe it is real" then switch to another thought. Keep repeating and it becomes real, just like the fear did in the beginning.
Good Luck.
I get obsessive thoughts too, have you ever heard of pure o? I don't know if they make medication for it or not but I've read about it and what it is. It's having obsessive or intrusive thoughts that will not go away without the impulses. Meaning you do not react to the thought but it keeps repeating and anything that scares you about it makes you feel sick and depressed. And pure o or ocd is an anxiety disorder , maybe you should try different medication. Or therapy!!! But the best thing that can help is yourself , try not to let it scare you maybe when you have the thought try not to think to deep into it. Cause no one has attacked you right? So there NOT going tooo! <3 It's just an obsessive thought not to make it sound easy cause i know it is one of the hardest things to deal with but you will get through it ! STAY STRONG, AND GET ALL THE HELP YOU NEED ! I HOPE SOME OF THIS HELPED AND KNOW YOU ARE NOT ALONE !!!!
Did you start a medicine after being diagnosed? If these thoughts started after starting a new medicine, definately tell your parent or doctor. Some people can react differently to different medicines. My son has times where he feels people are watching him thru his windows and we told his doctor and adjust the medicine and it helped. Also have a psychologist or therapist to talk about your thoughts is a great big help. They can help you talk thru your fears and worries. I hope you feel better soon. Daisy
You need to get into therapy to evaluate your fears and work thru them. After your diagnosis what are they doing for your anxiety? Talk to your parents about this so they can get you the needed help. We hear from a lot of teens with anxiety, so know you're not alone. There is help for this irrational fear, which is very real to you. You'll be okay with some help, so hang in there.
