I would think you should find out why she doesn't want to go to school. Maybe there is a bullying issue or something else going on that would make her afraid of going to school. I know I had that problem as a child and my mother spoke to the school guidance counselor and it stopped. As well there may be some other factors creating emotional dependence. I would suggest taking her to a child psychologist as well. There is a specific forum to discuss child behavior issues more in detail as there might be very specific issues going on rather than just anxiety disorder but you should speak to both a child psychologist and as well as your child directly to find out exactly what is going and then better suggestions could be made on how to help it.

Take her to see a mental health professional.  She is exhibiting classic symptoms of Separation Anxiety (school refusal).  It is an anxiety disorder that can be treated very successfully with a little professional intervention (take her to see a child psychologist and they will map out a strategy for you).  You are doing nothing wrong - it is a recognized anxiety disorder that isn't uncommon in children with certain temperments.  Good luck to you!

Is she being bullied? That's usually what happens when kids are bullied.
