Hi Candi,
I also believe my tight neck is causing me dizziness. I thought it was sinus related but have semi reuled that out. When i started getting my neck adjusted recently from a massage therapist, and then friend who is a chiropractor i started feeling more clear and less headaches as my neck losened up, but unfortunately that progress has slowed down now, but I do still believe my stiff neck is contributing to these problems, just unsure how to fix it.
I also have occaisonal dizziness....and my neck is stiff and everything...i always worried it was an inner ear disorder...but i think it could be the SCM muscle. its in ur neck and can casue headaches dizziness...and so on..and it is caused by bad posture and over use on your computer..which i do.
idk could be a thought
i hate when i get dizzy it scares me soo mucchhhhh
I would definitely go back to your doctor regarding your meds. Your tight neck could very well be stress, as well as the dizziness. I would speak to your doctor regarding this and your meds. Take care...
Anyone else have any input? That would be greatly appreciated!! :)
I've been there done that with all the doctors, from having my ears check tons of mris cat scans and blood test. I've done the whole dance! So that leaves me with anxiety.
First, that is great news that your anxiety has been gone for three years! There are many of us here who would love to know how you conquered it.
But..........your tight neck and dizziness remain. Have you seen your doctor about this? Have you run the gauntlet of scans and MRIs to rule out an organic cause for these symptoms? If not, I think it would be a good idea to chat about this with your doctor.
In my humble opinion, I doubt your dizziness is still bothering you because it was the first symptom of your anxiety disorder or the fact that you are still thinking about it. The fact it is still there is what would bother me and would have me back at my doctors office.
There are many reasons a person can feel dizzy.........a few being inner ear problems, eye problems and medication problems. And again I think you need to speak with your doctor about these possibilities. You may need to be evaluated by an EENT. I don't know if a tight neck could cause dizziness, but it can't hurt to have it looked into.
At this point, after three years, I would leave no stone unturned to try and find the cause of your dizziness.
Let us know how you're doing, OK?
I wish you the best.
Peace
