A Few Health Questions that are causing a little anxiety for me

My anxiety hasnt been as bad but i still have little bouts of it.  I just have a few quick questions if anyone could answer them that would be great!

Does jaundice require the eyes to be yellow or can there be jaundice where only the skin goes yellowish?

My nose was bleeding like usual and i noticed that by blood sank to the bottom of my toilet when i curiously let it drip in there.  It sank to the bottom as i said and didnt break off, it kinda stayed in droplets. Does blood sink or is something wrong?

Blood sinks I know that much! There is nothing to worry about with regards to your blood. With regards to the jaundice i know that if it is really severe then pretty much everything goes yellow in the end. I think that that your eyes turn yellow first and then your skin after, this is only my opinion though so you should really get in touch with a doctor if you are concerned as I have no medical qualifications at all!

Good luck.

Of course blood sinks -all that iron! If it didn't, I'd schedule you for a work up pronto -if you were still alive.

Yellow skin, yellow(ish) eyes, etc. frequently go along with jaundice and can give a doctor a clue to suspect jaundice. But it is not a one-to-one deal. Ingesting a lot of beta-carotene can also make you yellow in places. So, a consult with the doctor is the best way to figure out your situation.

Hope that helps.

First of all....why would you be jaundiced?  What exactly are you worrying about?  The answer is yes, you can be jaundiced other places and not the eyes....or the eyes and not other places.

As for the blood?  Just re-read your post and hopefully you will see the silliness in it.  You let the blood drop in the toilet to test its bouancy?  That is your Health Anxiety clear and simple. There is nothing wrong with your blood.

If you have any medical concerns...certainly see your doctor...but also keep in mind that the Health Anxiety is something you need to work on keeping in check...no googling, etc.

Hang in there!
