A Number of issues

Hi,

I'm not sure whether what I'm experiencing comes under 'anxiety', but from what I can see it's the best fit.

Basically, I tend to feel like i'm going to vomit in a number of situations, and sometimes I actually do. Situations in which I experience this typically are:
- Sleeping at friends houses (this has been happening for years - starts with being unable to sleep then feeling like i'm going to physically sick) Sometimes even happens when I am just at a friends house in the evening.
- At concerts (seems to be worse with bigger audiences)
- Job interviews (I understand it's perfectly normal to be nervous, but I don't feel like nervous to the point of shaking and feeling so close to vomiting I have to leave the room are normal)
- When I get reasonably tired, but only when I'm not at home - at home I feel fine, i'll just fall asleep - when I'm out late i'll start to feel bad.
And there are more.
I'm concerned because I have a job that sometimes involves me staying late to set stuff up - and I don't want this to force me to not take part. Also, it's annoying when I have to find excuses not to stay with friends.

In terms of other related stuff, I have been diagnosed with depression and have been in hospital 2 times over the last 4 years because of that. I am currently taking anti-depressants.

Hope you can help.

Try a class in meditation or tai chi.  Redirect the emotional energies.

Hi Jimmy,

I read your story and I have the same feelings as you. I take anti depressant medicins too for many years now. I am happy when I am at home by myself. Without people I feel fine. I swim every week and that relaxes me a little. I also like to be a calm person, but I think we have to accept the way I am and I try to avoid situations I cannot handle. That is the way I survive en be myself.

Take good care of yourself.
