It is sooo important to remember that there are MANY different approaches to anxiety treatment, really, there is something for everyone.  There is no right or wrong way to go about it, and everyone is different, both in how their anxiety presents, and what works to combat it.

The important thing is seeking out that help, whatever it may be, and to keep working at it, including trying various techniques (Rx meds, herbal supplements, therapy, biofeedback, massage, you name it...the list is forever gorwing) until you have found what is "right" for you!

Also, it always helps to remind onesself that NO ONE is alone in this battle, even though it may feel that way most of the time.  There are so many of us who have gone through it, are still fighting the good fight, and many who have overcome it completely.  Us supporting one another and sharing our stories is paramount in helping each other.

If you get a chance, can you contribute to the "anxiety and panic disorder tips" post I made?

I found I needed to completely change all the old bad habits I developed all through the years that led to why I was suffering from anxiety and depression.       I learned that the way you think about your surroundings,  the way you react to your surroundings,  the way you feel about yourself,  plus other thought processes can determine how you will feel at any given moment day to day.
I learned to take pride in myself by eating right,  exercising regularly,  trying to treat everybody I have contact with everyday the same way I would want all others to treat me.    Also learning to not hurry through life,  not to always anticipate the worse,  learning to relax by finding activities that interest me.
But it takes effort for me because I spent so many years thinking negatively and acting negatively.    But if I developed bad habits then it means I can develop good habits too.    Thats what I've been doing for some years now.

Please message me for the tips and techniques I have. Some people post and never come back, I have written enough for a novel. I don't mean to sound harsh or cruel, I just like to know the person is still coming here before I type away.

"Self Help for your Nerves" by Claire Weekes.  I can't claim to be cured but I went from feeling dead for about 8 years to now often feeling well but still sometimes fooled by the odd phobia.
