A symptom that I am curious about.....anyone else?

Hi Everyone, I am frequently on here, asking and answering questions. I have this one symptom that drives me crazy and I want to know if anyone else out there experiences this. Out of nowhere, I will get a "pressure" feeling in my ears, almost like a really quick loss of hearing, with a really low tone sound that comes with it. I also frequently experience, a quick loss of hearing and ringing in one ear, not one ear in particular, but either one at any given time. This symptom alone will bring on my others, I guess I can't say that I panic about it, but I do think "Oh jeez, here it is again", which makes me starting thinking about it and on comes the other fun stuff. With all of that being said, I have seen an ENT for this, and my general Dr. with no answers. My only assumption is that it is anxiety related and should just go with it.

Now.........sorry to all the men out there :) but, I am premenstrual this week, I am due early next week.I know for a fact that my anxiety is always worse this week, and I can feel that. So I know things are a bit worse for me now than they usually are, I have had a ton of nervousness, but the ear thing makes me nuts!

Hope you are all feeling well!
Kristine

I don't mean to jump in your conversation but I noticed that you guys take lexapro.  What are your feelings about this medicine?  I feel I should probably be taking something b/c my anxiety has become pretty bad and overwhelming.  My doc did prescribe lexapro for me & I took only one dose until I read the withdrawal symptoms when you try to get off.  I am SACRED to death to take it now.  Please let me know how you all feel about this medicine & the benifits or side effects you guys get from it??  Is it worth taking, in your opinion?

hey,

yes i get that pressure feeling to, and im on lexapro, i think its from higher bloody pressure, thats a symptom of high blood pressure, even if you dont generally have high blood pressure, it naturally goes up and down throughout the day and this can be caused by that, i don't think its anything to worry about, i have it most days to, mostly in the mornings or evenings, but goes away after a while when i relax..

Interesting jaw clenching from Lexapro, I am also on Lexapro. I thought I clenched my jaw because I was stressed and anxious. Perhaps I am dealing with a little of both, the ENT Dr. told me I has tinnitus, but that there is nothing I can do about it, there are some herbal supplements  that I can take I guess.

Thank You for your reply!

My sister, who suffered from agoraphobia, developed tinnitus from her anxiety.  I have pressure in my ears, but I think it's a side effect of jaw clenching from Lexapro.
