ADD and performance anxiety

by Petunia1, Oct 21, 2008 11:35PM
I'm 29 years old and started taking Vyvanse several months ago to help with symptoms of ADD.  I have severe anxiety around speach giving and public speaking.  I have avoided it for many years to the detriment of my career.  I have been asked to speak at an event for work and I am no longer in a position to decline. A friend of mine mentioned that taking a beta blocker could help in the short term to get me through this particular event, and a couple other in order to practice in order to breakdown the fear associated, etc.

Could I take a beta blocker at the same time as taking Vyvanse or would I need to skip the Vyvanse on the day of the event in order to take the beta blocker?

I am healthy and do not have any cardiovascular or metobolic conditions.

Thanks.
