im 18 years old and i take 50 mg of zoloft a day for my anxiety and depression. usually when i get drunk i feel weird for a couple of days but then it goes away... but this saturday i got really drunk and didnt wanna put up with a hangover on sunday so i got drunk again but lately ive been feeling really weird it doesnt feel like it usually does after i drink... everybody tells me im acting weird, everything feels different, its like i forgot how to be myself.... i started thinking that maybe i damaged my brain from so much drinking.. is this possible? has anybody ever felt like this? please respond
Also, alcohol is a depressant which does not help with your condition at all..
I just gave you many reasons not to drink.....can you give me one reason why you should continue drinking? I hope not...the negatives outweigh the positives!
First, you should NOT be drinking at ALL...not only because you are a minor, but because of its interaction with the medication that you are on...YOU SHOULD NOT DRINK ALCOHOL WHILE TAKING ANTI-DEPRESSANTS! it is a dangerous interaction. Also, all that alcohol could cause alcohol poisoning which could kill you. I was once told when on anti-depressants one drink is like having two.
