Just wondering if anyone else experiences visual problems with their anxiety?
I'm not sure if I am or if im making it all up in my head. I keep thinking that i sometimes see a quick flash of light, like a long one as though someones waved a sparkler quickly. I also find that if I look at something bright, like a tv, it stayes in my vision when i look away from it. Maybe im just being paranoid and im looking for health problems to worry about, im just not sure.
Ive been to my doctor and ive had an eye exam which was fine. Im also suffering with neck pain, shoulder pain and a sor scalp, and im terrified of having a stroke. Oh and im 22.
I think most of us anxiety sufferers have thought at one point or another they are having a stroke or a brain tumor. Neck/head pain are usually just tension. I am 37 yrs old and at 19 I thought I was having one or the other & I am still here!!! If you had it checked out I would not worry. Anxiety really plays games with your mind and the symptoms although real in feeling are nothing more than a a heighten state of senses. I sometimes get very sensitive to light when anxious or bright lights/lighting in the mall or a big store...and i just tell myself its only my anxiety and it seems to get better. Have you been diagnoses with anxiety by a Dr or are you just presuming this is what you have?
Best of luck to you & try not to focus on the symptoms.
