Hi again. I was wondering if anyone takes AtivandailyDaily combo Daily multiple for men 50+ Daily multiple for women Daily multiple for women 50+ Daily multiple vitamins Daily vite Daily-vite men's formula Daily-vite weight control? I was told I could take this along with the Zoloft until the Zoloft kicks in. That just seems odd to me but...........it works. I didn't take it today just to see what I felt like and I've been nervous and anxious all day. I'm just confused on how long to wait before the Zoloft works on it's own (it's been 3 weeks & I know it can take a month or more) and when I'll be able to NOT use the Ativan. I only take a quarter of a pill---a half of a half so it's really not much but that seems to help. I have heard it is very addictive so I really don't like taking it at all but seem to feel better when I do. Thanks for any help.
Hi Toots,
I could spend time telling you what MY humble opinion is about these issues, but why don't you take these questions to the doctor who put you on the Zoloft and probably the Ativan? Sounds to me like he didn't do a very good job explaining to you what you would be going through while you waited for the Zoloft to kick in. How long were you on the Ativan? You say you started the Zoloft just three weeks ago, is that also when you started the Ativan? If it was, then you really shouldn't be feeling much in the way of w/d from it. (But....we are all different in the way we respond to meds) Why you felt nervous and anxious today could be just a side effect of your body getting use to the Zoloft and may be the reason your doc prescribed the Ativan, so you wouldn't be uncomfortable until it reached it's therapeutic level. But what I've given you and what anyone on this forum can give you is our totally non-medical OPINION. What you need is an ANSWER. And only your doctor can give you that. Pick up the phone and call him. You deserve and have the right to know what these meds are doing to you. Or call the pharmacist and ask him/her about your concerns. As doctors of pharmacology, they are more qualifed than your doctor (IMHO) to answer your questions.
Good luck and keep us posted, OK?
Peace
