About pain

I am on Alprazolam (low dose) for the last 2 and half years .I have chronic pain started before 1 and half years  .So many trial were done but none couldn't help .I have pain like stabbing inside my ear and feet (both hands and legs).tried neuropathy meds NSAID etc .No hope

How to identify the type of pain I have ?

Psycogenic or psychosomatic
Musculoskelectal
Neuropathic

Please help.

Peripheral neuropathy, if that's what you have with your hands and and legs, is something the neurologists don't know all the causes of and they can only identify the cause in a certain percentage of patients.  See private message for more info on peripheral neuropathy.

The pains in your ear- if infection has been ruled out, have they considered a TMJ problem on that side?  That can cause pain in the ear.

Anxiety can cause a lot of very real physical symptoms.  The doctors should test for all known medical causes of the pains you are having.
