Acupuncture looks painful, a bunch of needles puched into your skin..lol It may work some, people say it works for a lot of things. The only thing i tryed was seeing a therapist, but my anxiety was interfearing with my family so I had to go with medication.

Yes--I have tried it and have had good results!  I do not like needles but they are so fine that you really don't feel them!  It is very relaxing and a great alternative to medication.  I used to take lexapro but I did not like taking medication on a daily basis.  The only down side is that it is expensive ($55 per treatment) and it is not covered by insurance.  Good luck.

Acupuncture is wonderful! the needles are soooo thin you wont feel them at all! if you are with a good practitioner they can work wonders on anxiety and all kinds of other physical and mental ailments>
Good Luck!

i am currently doing accupuncture treatment and i am doing pretty well.  i have seen improvements on how i cope with things and i'm starting to be able to sleep a bit better than beffore.  i also don't worry as much.  but all of this was with medication and therapy as well.

if you plan on doing acupuncture, you need to find a good acupuncturist.  i searched on yelp, and also looked at acupuncturists' profiles in my local area.  i look for years experienced and what school they went to.  when you go see an acupuncturist, they recommend an herbal tea or pill to take during treatment.  it is very important that you take this to get best results.  and it is not dependent..because well of course...its HERBAL.

as for the needles, i hate needles..but i love getting tattoos.  ironic huh?  but these needles are so thin you can't really feel it.  people say it's like a pinch...but honestly, you can't feel it.  after my first two treatments, i saw a significant change in my behavior.  i wasn't anxious as before.  for some people, it may take several treatments to see a change, so don't get high hopes after your first visit.  it's different for all people.  i'm still going through treatments, and continue to do so when i feel i'm ready that i don't need it anymore.  hope this helps!
