Adrenlin

by frue13, Jun 28, 2009 02:33PM
I have now purchased 2 books and see a therapist.  The books are panic away and pass through panic and fear.  The latter is awesome.  There belief is that adrenalin is the culprit behind all your symptoms.
I am curious to all of your opnions is this what causes all the panic symptoms?  Seems very easy but yet so complex.  I have come a long way I used to get panic attacks every moring and maybe one in the afternoon.  I generally do not get them but i do feel symptoms of them daily.   I take ativan at night and just let the go during the day, saying it will be ok.
synptoms are heart pvcs, tight throat, and breathing issues.  I am putting to practice the suggested in this book and have found them very helpfull.  Claire weeks is the auther of pass through panic and fear.  I would highly recomend this book after reading it twice i almost completly took conttrol.  Now I am working on dealing with underlining  causes.  The greatest cause of all is not reling on God.  Working on that now.

Adrenaline is the symptom, not the cause.  Nobody knows the cause.  At some point, we just get an anxiety attack our of nowhere, it seems, then condition our thinking to expect another.  That triggers the adrenaline.  They're now researching a part of the primitive brain called the amygdala as a possible source of the problem, but that's a hard part of the brain to get to.
