Advice plzzzzz

I've been on cipralex 20mg for about 1.5 yrs, before that was on 40mgs of celexa.. I'm 37, about 190lbs 5'7".. Anyway my question is, my dr prescribed me ability 2.5mgs that I'm scared to start because of all the scary side effects I've read :-(. I guess I should also let u no that I suffer from severe anxiety/ severe depression disorder. Plz help and tell me your experiences with the medication and hoping to find someone that suffers the same as me, and takes the same meds lol.. I no it's a long shot.. Thank you

I originally started on 20mgs of celexa, then after about almost 4 yrs it wasn't working anymore, so my dr raised it to 40mgs.. Then after almost another 4 yrs the 40mgs stopped working(guessing I was to ammune to it). So my dr put me on cipralex, she said it's the closest to celexa, just more of a newer version.. Just wish there was something that would help :-( and hate that I read all the sd effects of abilify, and read stories..

First of all may I ask why you switched from celexa to cipralex? I know I have asked my Dr about abilify and she will not prescribe it for me, not sure why but she does say there are better drugs out there... I know every Doc is different as is every person. Sorry, I know this does not answer your question..
