Anger attack

by bosnianworrier, Nov 11, 2009 01:58AM
This morning i went to bed at 8 am. I screwed my sleeping again. At 10 am I had to get up for a job interview. Since I woke up I felt some kind of anger. This hasn't happened in a long long time. I came home and was angry and din't wanna talk to anyone just went to bed. When I woke up around 9 pm I still felt angry.

It took me 3 hours to cool down. I had to take a cigarette and some klonopin and now feel 80% better.

What's wrong with me?

I am weaning off effexor very slowly for the last 2 months but never felt like this.

Could it be sleep disruption and stress. ( I HAVE HUGE STRESS)

Hello there,

I think you already know the answer. Sleep deprivation is known to have a strong impact on your personality. Irritability and anger are the most reported effect after fatigue of course.

Stress an anxiety is also known to cause anger and irritability. Effexor withdrawal is can also have a huge impact.

Please note that i'm not a doctor and you should talk about this to your doctor since maybe he will increase your dose a little bit and delay the withdrawal or take another strategy.

Best regards,
M4

Are you off of the efexor yet? That happen to me a couple of weeks ago. Every morning I got up i exploded!!! I busted things, threw things, just not being myself. At the time i was taking 20mgs of lexpro so i changed it to 10mgs. But i was not taking it like i should either. So it may be the effexor level it not right in your bloodstream.

Thanks both.

M4you: I totally agree. Today Ii had enough sleep and feel well.

Kalie1979: I am half way down with effexor. I do it very very slowly so i have no withdrawal symptoms. But it is not excluded that it could be because of effexor especially since I was on AD for 10 years and now quitting.
