Does anyone know if anxiety and a hyperactive thryoid are related?
I've had anxiety attacks in 1997, 2000, 2003 and now 2008.
Each time I have a hyperactive thyroid. All other times my thyroid is normalNormal saline flush . I have thyroid tested every 6months because of a goiterChronic thyroiditis (hashimoto’s disease) Goiter Graves disease Toxic nodular goiter.
Sunds to me like the thyroid being hyperHyper-sal might cause or at least make me more prone to the anxiety attacks.
If anyone has any experience on this, would appreicate your thoughts
i went from Hyperthyroidism (over active) to Hypothyroidism (under active) in the last few years, suffered with over active after the birth of my second child, then in the last year or so now i am under active and take Thyroxine.
i have never suffered from anxiety before and never did when i had an over active thyroid but since taking Thyroxine, its hell, now i suffer from anxiety all the time, its supposed to be a side effect from the medication but its different for all.
So in the same instance it is a one of the symptoms related to hyperthroidism!
hi, i'm a hyperHyper-sal and doc sent me to have RAI. what do you advise me: to do it or not? how is better: being a hyper or a hypo. i'm asking you because you know both states. if someone else experienced this, please let me know asap. my appt is two weaks ahead, and i still can cancel it.
