Anxiety Advice (Nighttime)

by CassCore, Aug 10, 2009 02:50AM
I know that it is common for people who suffer from panic disorder  to wake up in the middle of the night with severe panic attacks. I was just wondering if anyone had ever gotten any helpful advice on how to prevent those horrible episodes where you wake up in the middle of the night with a panic attack. I have to say those are the very worst. Does anyone know if you can have a panic attack from good stress? My doctor and I think that most of my attacks are caused by horomones because they are always worse right b4 my period. But sometimes when I go to bed really excited about something that is happening the next day I wake up with attacks...any advice on either ? would be most appreciated!!!!

Unfortunately panic attacks can strike at any time of day or night; that is one REALLY frustrating things about them in my opinion.  Can they come from good stress?  Sure they can; but they can come from no stress as well in my opinion.  As far as them happening at night, how do you deal with panic attacks during the day?  If it works, why not try to apply it at night even if you wake up panicing?

Have you suffered from anixiety for awhile?  Have you been in talk therapy?  Keep us posted!
