This forum has been so helpful to me. I just took my first pill (Celexa 10mg) today and wanted to see what others had to say. I haven't seen any recent posts so I wanted to see if there was any new updates from anyone. I have been struggling with anxiety for a few years now.......divorce, alcoholoic ex-husband, 2 kids, now planning a wedding, maintaining a home and I was just dianosed with a auto immune disorder (this is what put me over the edge). These are all every day issues but apparently my body deals with stress differently then others. I have anxiety over my anxiety :) It effects my social life, my relationship, my driving ability....everything. I've read about the side effects but am hopeful that this will work for me. Anything has to be better then living with anxiety every day.
Hello. I have anxiety, too, among other things. I also have medication for it, but not celexa.. never had that before. What i wanted to say was this: no amount of medication will help you without counseling to go with it. You MUST have it, to learn how to function normally in a world that feels topsy-turvy. The medication takes the edge off, the rest is up to you. Please seek counseling. Blessings - Blu
