Anxiety Symptom

O.K. i have had this pain in the left side of my back. Its next to the spine on the bottom rib and runs down to the flank. I have a lot of anxiety and recently got concerned it might be a kidney problem. The only thing is it doesn't hurt during the night or when i get up in the mornings. I will go to the doctor if it doesn't go away i just hate to, because i think they look at me like a hypocondraic (spelling?). I would think if it was my kidney i would feel it all the time. My i am just being tense all the time. Just wanted some opinions.

Aches and pains can come from many reasons; most of which are nothing to worry about.  But you are doing the right thing by getting it checked out by your doctor.  The next step is to believe him/her.  That is where many people run into problems with health anxiety....the 'what if?' thinking mentality can really take over and cause problems....let us know how it goes!

You have to go and get that checked out.  I had the same problem.  I have pain in a lot of places and not just there.  I also checked into my diet that I wasn't eating anything that would cause my kidneys to become strained and drank plenty of water.  You know you can get kidney stones or even have cysts.  I know this because a friend of mine has this.  They show up on tests very easity.  I don't like having these body pains because it makes me feel so ol.

are u having presure when you sit down? if so i had the same problem, also i do still get pains there sometimes, u are okay, but if you explain more symptoms, i can help u better.

Kidney problems become very painful, you can get a blood test and ultrasound done to check for problems, but in your pain may not be related to kidney issues, one of the big signs of anxiety is to pick out the most terrible and often least likely problem

My pain seems like it is gone, thats why i think it is anxiety.

oh yea i get cramps all over my body and i am really scared that its something bad going on with me i get them in the legs and arms back i get pain in my feet and fingers i been to the hospital like so many times and they do test but nothing so i guess its just anxiety makeing all the pain and cramps
