Anxiety and Alcohol

by ManicPanic247, Nov 05, 2007 11:44AM
Will drinking a few beers make my anxiety worse? Will it make me have a panic attack. I used to drink and love it very much, but ever since i got hit with anxiety, Iv'e been afraid to. It made me quit smoking because it would bring on a panic attack and make me feel nauseous. What do you all experience when drinking? Does your anxiety go down, completely gone, get more anxious, what about the physical symptoms???????

Drinking definetley makes you anxiety worse because you can interprut the feelings of a hangover as being serious problems. For example whenever i drink a lot the next day I get a headache and I interprut this as being something serious like a stroke or haemorrhage. Drinking isnt good for anxiety. It calms you down whilst you drink it but when your coming of it you feel down and detatched. When ever i have a drink i try to limit my hangover as much as i can. eating plenty and drinking milk helps a lot.
