Anxiety and Muscle weakness/pain?

Anxiety and Muscle weakness/pain?

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar while dealing with their anxiety problems.  Sorry for being legthy!!

I'm a 25/F, and I have had anxiety problems off and on for most of my life.  This last time, my anxieties were whipped up by health concerns after getting a bee sting on my foot (yeah... dumb thing to freak out about), and then some general fatigue/muscle aches with what I'm assuming was a virus (I felt like I was getting the flu for like a day when it started).  At some point about a week after I felt ill, my left arm began to feel stiff and weak, and after doing some internet research as to why, I came across all sorts of wonderful illnesses that can be associated with my symptoms (ALS freaked me out the most, btw).  After that, I had a full-blown anxiety attack that went up and down for a day, and I began to get a lot of muscle twitches over my body (which of course, made me thing ALS and that I was dooooomed.)

Anyhow.  I was still feeling generally weak/tired at this point, so I went to my Dr.  She said that I could have strained my arm and may have been fighting off a virus, causing the weakness and fatigue.  I felt better for most of that week.  That saturday, however, my arm started feeling odd again, and this time my left leg also joined in the game.  And more anxiety came along, pretty much all weekend.  I went back to the Dr. on tuesday; I was really upset at the time, and confessed to the dr. that I was also having bad anxieties along with the arm/leg problem.  She pretty much blew me off after that, and told me that I needed to see a therapist -- and I had to specifically ask her again to even look at my arm!

I had a general blood panel run with thyroid too, and I'm apparently just fine.  However, my arm and leg are still bugging me - they don't feel off all of the time, but it does keep coming back.  My anxieties flare up also when my leg/arm are bothering me more, but my anxiety is very focused around this one problem now.  Overall, I would be happy if this is all from my anxieties, because I know that I won't die of some other horrible disease.  I know I also need to find a new doctor, because I could almost see the moment she stopped listening to me when I mentioned having anxiety problems.

Generally, the concerning sensations are: a feeling of stiffness in my left arm and hand; it tires easily, and sometimes feels less coordinated than my right; muscle twitches/spasms, especially after extertion; a 'rubbery' sensation; pain in my shoulder, shoulderblade and lower neck.  My leg has similar sensations, especially the tightness and 'rubbery' feeling; I have had some burning pain around where I think my sciatic nerve runs.  I have been having random muscle twitches all over somewhat infrequently, and occasional quick pains in random spots.

Any feedback is appreciated!

well, im 18/m and ive just recently began suffering from anxiety/panic attacks, i had a full blown panic attack for the first time about 2 weeks ago, hyperventilation caused me to think i was having a heart attack which extremly scary. after about a week of going to the dr constantly and many blood tests and ecgs/blood pressure tests i was assured my heart is fine, however now im feeling syntoms exactly like yours. A constant throbbing pain in my left arm (most of the time even when im not anxious) and the left leg pain which goes right down to my foot. also sometimes a little less frequently i get a pain in my upper left chest which only last seconds and even more recently ive been getting a restless sensation in both my feet. i now get these symptoms when i am and when im not anxious, and the pain in my left arm just now seems constant, its driving me mad...

Yes, I have had all those symptoms...muscle tightness, the twitches, etc. You may also want to get a massage or get your back checked out. Stress can lead to poor sitting habits and sleeping habits and this can lead to muscle spasms and pinched nerves.
