Anxiety and Vitamins and Magnesium

Hi,i went to my ENT and i havt to haved sinujs surgery he knows about my GAD and suggested i take liquid magnisium and a vitamin supplement he says people with anxiety have a shortage of mag. and it helps anxiety.I called my pharmisist and he said magnisium is good but the liquid kind is apt to cause dierehha.Has anyone tried this before or do you take vitamins and do they help,,,,Im wondering about fish oil and folic acid too seems like i heard they help against memery loss.I dont want to become a vitamin junkie but if they helped it would be ok .so anyone that does vitamins and has noticed if it helps please respond to me. I have to have surgery on july 9 and am very anxious as im being tapered off my anxiety meds during this time too.My right side of my head my right eye,jaw.ear and neck all hurt..........i am hoping thats all caused from my sinuses,Had a ct done last week one of my head the other of my sinuses.........funny the reports came back ok but my ent read teh sinus one(he is at anoher clinic then where i had the ct  scaan done) and he compared it with the one he had done in jan and he said my sinues have got worse since jan when he had m scaned...........so i hopoe the one on my head is right(that its ok) im was worried i was having a stroke  or maybe a brain tumor but they say its ok........hard to know what to believe

Hi,  I bought those Midwest Clinic tapes for anxiety and they included a box of "Good Days" vitamins for mood enhancement.  I just checked the formula and it has Magnesium at175 mg or 44% DV.  I guess I would have thought it would have been higher if Magnesium was such an important thing for its anti-anxiety properties.  Some things like Thiamin is 1667% and Riboflavin is 1471%.  Maybe you could go to one of the Vitamin Shoppes and check into it.   Good luck to you.  Everything is going to be just fine!!  Try not to dwell on it and do what you can to de-stress!  Take Care.
