I haven't been to the dr but I have had them be for I'm not freckling out about them or anything I woes just wondring if anxiety or stress can cause them to swell
And yea I am in therapy still and on Zoloft and am feeling 100 times better I haven been given any self help books but I have got myself some DVDs on anxiety witch is helping aswell
Most likely, your lymph nodes aren't even swollen (unless your doctor told you they are). People think that because they can feel them, they're inflammed. Lymph nodes are almost always palpable, and unless you've had medical training, you cannot properly assess swollen nodes and shouldn't be trying to. So, if YOU are poking around, I would urge you to stop...as that's only fueling your health anxiety. Not to mention, if you poke and prod enough that in itself will cause them to swell.
If a doctor HAS diagnosed you with swollen lymph nodes, it's really not a concern...as there are about a billion benign reasons a person's nodes could be swollen.
What have you beeen doing to address the anxiety issues? Are you still in therapy? I would recommend asking for some self help book suggestions from the therapist, as anxiety treatment has to continue with us. We cannot expect our anxiety to improve by just going to therapy. WE need to make the necessary changes and TRY.
Like someone with health anxiety...they can go to therapy every day, but if they're going to come home and continue to google symptoms all day long, that's not helpful. We need to help ourselves as much as we need the help of others.
