Due to severe anxiety and panic attacks I saw a college councellor (bare in mind it took me three months to see this women and I almost had a panic attack before I went in to see her) who suggested therapy, specifically CBT and I can see someone by asking by doctor who will refer me to the appropriate person. Which is all well and good, if I could even go through with it! Every time I go to book the appointment I start hyperventilating, and have to stop. I find it hard enough going to the doctors anyway (waiting is something that always affects me and actually makes me quite ill), not to mention that he isn't the greatest, and I can't even ask a parent to help or go along with me because they aren't exactly approving (they didn't believe I even had IBS till it was diagnosed... four years after the symptoms started)
