Anxiety and throat

Hi,
Does anybody experience an actual sore throat and mouth, without any infection, as a result of anxiety.
I think it is caused by subconciously clenching my teeth and pressing my tongue against the roof of my mouth and not swallowing.
Can globus cause a sore throat aswell as the choking cannot swallow and ball in the throat feeling which I do not have.
Thx for any advice.

Tony

Sho 'nuff you can have that.

Obviously, you first rule out the other suspects. But stress -such as a lot of singing, cheering or even talking can do the same thing, so the tension you've described also plays a part.

Time to look at whatver circumstances may be making you uneasy about something.

Thanks for asking!

If this continues, you may want to see a doctor to rule out whether you have Acid Reflux or Gerd. I know they say stress doesn't bring it on but sometimes it sure seems like it.
Our bodies and minds are closely intertwined after all. When we have a lot of stress or anxiety, it can literally bring on physical symptoms.
Take care. Hope you feel better soon.
