Anxiety back again, help!

I really thought I had it beat!  But today I feel like all the symptoms are back, the burning sensation down my arms and legs (along the nerves), the panicky feeling, the heart beating, the lack of appetite, the stomach churning..... you name it and it is back today.

I look back at all my threads of advice that I have given others and yes they do work, it's just that I cannot wait to get through the day so that I can finally relax and go to sleep tonight and forget about how I feel.  Does anyone else feel like this today?

Please help, just hearing from someone out there will make me feel better.

To Russtoo:
I saw my endocrinologist today and have stopped the synthroid, it could be having a bad effect on my and the side effects are exactly what I am experienced, even down to the weight loss!

To cj29:
You are right, anxiety can come back and when it does it can feel overwhelming, however, this forum has helped me face it each time and recover so there's always hope with that.

To Yazzi:
Thanks so much for your excellent advice, I tried Mark's Shepherd's technique and although I still have to practice it more, I do feel better and calmer.  He certainly teaches you how to come out of yourself and in essence you loose the body feelings you get with anxiety and so when you return and look back at yourself you feel reassured that you are still there and in one piece.

To Scardjo:
Thanks for your support as always, can always count on you!
I had a little bit too much wine last night and I completely get what you were writing about yesterday, about how bad you feel in the morning.  Alcohol is great at the time, but the after affects are terrible!
Gotta keep going.....

Remeber also, that as with life, anxiety has its ups and downs as well.  Anxiety can return at any time.  I was anxiety free for years and then it 'suddenly' came back.  However, I try to focus on the long term progress rather than the short term.  I also know what it is and understand much better than when I went through it the first time which is a little more comforting.  Just keep on working at it; every day you learn something different about yourself no matter how bad you think it is at the moment...keep us posted.

Hi;

   Of course, being hypothyroid, you may know what it feels like to be taking too much synthroid. Could that be an issue?

Thanks guys!
It certainly helps to know that I am not alone.
The only meds I take are for the thyroid, synthroid actually, for the past 3 months and I must say thatI lost them for one week and felt better, I found them again 2 days ago and have started taking them again and feel much worse.  Perhaps that does not help.

I do go the gym, force myself, and it does make me feel better, but its raining today and the children have gone back to school and here I am on my own, thinking about "myself" which is not the best to be doing right now!

I did beat it twice before so there's no reason I can't do it again!

Namaste,

I can relate to what you're feeling. I just managed to begin to bring myself out of a bout of severe depression and anxiety. The type where all your nerves are tingly and you're so irritable, empty, shaky and unable to function.

Even with medication I still go through these bouts without any known trigger, but it always passes, but while in the midst of it it seems as if it'll never end.

Just try to do something to occupy yourself, like a walk, even though you need to force yourself and keep faith knowing that these feeling you are having will pass.

Let us know how you are doing and take care of yourself!!

Hi;

   Are you still online? I feel edgy and to be wasting my life in many ways right now but have felt the way you are feeling now, oftentimes.
   Are you undergoing any med changes? Can you rest or walk some?
