Anxiety effecting my bladder?

by Feebzzzz, Aug 25, 2009 06:09AM
My mum thinks i need a wee alot because I'm nervous or anxious all the time. I rarely need to go toilet, but i seemto have to go about 10 times a day because i feel if i dont i will wet myself. Do you think this could be why? I'm at a loss to what is causing it but i really want to get it sorted asap because i've had it for the last 6 months and its really been getting me upset.

I get this too it's really a pain in the night as if I wake up I must go and my partner is always confused as to why my bladder is so weak or why I always feel I must go even if it isn't that urgent...I just feel the same, like I'll wet myself if I don't. I suffer from extreme anxiety and so maybe it is connected. I wish I could help. I went to my doctor about it and they are doing some blood tests to see if anything could be the cause rather than anxiety because it isn't overly good for you. I think you should also do the same. If you get help with it, it definitely might solve your problems as it could be identified as to what's wrong. I hope it doesn't get you down too much, I know it's incredibly frustrating, I feel your pain. But hang in there and try to get some help from the doc.

In the meantime, other people have also mentioned this in google and apparently this is a massive help: It's a manual called 'panic away' by a guy called Joe Barry. You can download the demo of it here:

http://www.panicaway.com/method_demo.php

It could be a number of things but here is something it may be (as this is caused by stress in some cases) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overactive_bladder

Your doctor will know anyways and can treat you no matter what it turns out to be. I hope this helps I am thinking of you. xxxx
