Anxiety from Alcohol/Drugs

Hi, i am a 21 year old college student.  My anxiety started about a year ago after i started drinking heavily for several months.  The anxiety was not bad and i didnt think much of it until one night i stayed up drinking. I drank more than i ever had probably but the next day i had a huge panic attack. I would have done anything for it to stop. I assumed that the drinking was to blame so i slowed down on the partying but i still got mild anxiety. It seemed that it was always worse the day after drinking and gradually got better. But once i felt better i would do it again and start the whole process over.  I have had two more bad panic attacks since then and always after drinking.  Now i do not drink at all except for one drink every couple of weeks but i still have anxiety.  Is the anxiety related solely on alcohol or do I actually have a problem?
I also have a lot of symptoms that have gotten worse over the months. Sharp pains in the head, Headaches, nausea(sometimes in the middle of the night), derealization feelings, lightheadedness, red eyes, sometimes in the morning when i blow my nose i have small amounts of blood discharge(the bloody nose is probably unrelated).  But all these symptoms seem to come days after my anxiety goes away.
Is this substance induced anxiety or do i have a brain tumor?
My main worry is that i have a brain tumor.  Whenever i get these sickening feelings i automatically assume the worse.  Can anyone relate and if so please let me know.

Wow, I can relate to your story, althought mine is a little different, I use to smoke weed on a regular basis, and one night I decided to drink alot and smoke some weed (this was when i was 16)...that night I had this HUGE panic attack, I didnt know what was going on, I just curled up into a ball and fell asleep. I woke up feeling really weird, but went on with my day thinking I was just hung over.  Weeks later I was sitting in class and BOOM, it hit me again, the same feeling, I ran out of class and called my mother, and I really thought I was dying. I thought.. "okay, this is it."
since then I have seen EVERY DOCTOR, and done EVERY TEST... but all I got was.. "you have anxiety, and panic disorder." I just didnt wan to believe it, I thought that the doctors were missing something... after 8 years of this, I realized that they were right, although sometimes when a "new" symptom comes about, I think I have a brain tumor...

I have sharp pains in the my head, nausea, derealization feelings, lightheadedness, red eyes (sometimes they sting to)...... what it sounds like.. is that these feelings dont come after your panic passes, its still your panic... it's just another form of it.
The doctors told me that what could have happened is that when I was under the influence, i had a attack because of the substance, and then in the back of my head my fear attatched to that feeling and it's bringing it back.. constantly...
Idon't have nose bleeds, and I have never heard of anyone with anxiety to have nose bleeds, but maybe someone else on here will post that they have....
It doesn't sound like you have a brain tumor...it's natural with anxiety to always assume the worse possible senerio.. BUT I would still go seek a healthcare professional.  Someone who has some knowledge in this field... not just a medi centre. There are many drugs that can help you cope with this..also, alot of herbal supplements...

I hope this helped a little bit..
Take care,
and Cheer up...
