Hi, same here. I had anxiety and the more I checked into how I was feeling the more the symptoms would come. I started noticing that I would get the palpitations always at the same time cause I had somehow matched exercising with the palpitations. I had to learn not to check in and let the symptoms do what they needed to do and keep going with my day. Exercise and cut caffeen, cofee, and chocolate, tea, ect.

Also check out the One Move technique helped me loads.

yeah caffeine does a number on you when it comes to heart palps and anxiety in general. and as everyone's said...it does mirror symptoms of anxiety...but it should always be checked out before assuming thats what it is. you'd hate to be wrong when it comes to the heart. best thing to do is make the appointment and don't let it stress you out. odds are a doc will tell you you're fine and then you'll know and then you'll actually start to feel fine...but the point is that it's better to know than assume.

No worries mate, I'm 22 and had the same problems. What you may have is Panic Disorder, I thought I had developed heart disease and was constantly worrying about the palpitations, rapid heart rate, feelings of dread, and of course the anxiety attacks which make you think you're having a heart attack. I was convinced that I had heart disease, my doctor checked out my heart and prescribed me Paxil, it doesn't happen anymore.

Additionally, I quit drinking caffeine and you wouldn't BELIEVE how much that helped my anxiety, it almost alleviated it entirely, if not atleast to a managable extent.
