Anxiety or heart issues?

Ok. So, I have had anxiety/depression for years now.  25 year old male, 190 lbs, very muscular, admittedly not in great cardio shape at the moment lol.

I had a full cardio work up done earlier this year... multiple ekgs,  echo, halter monitor, blood test.  Did not have stress test though.  All tests came back normal.   My bp and pulse were high at the time, I was put on a beta blocker for a while, they came down.  It was attributed to anxiety.

I get chest discomfort/pain that comes and goes pretty much randomly, although it seems to sometimes act up when I'm upset or really excited. I'm hoping that it's either my anxiety or chostochondritis.

Does anyone else experience anything like this that has also been cleared on all their cardio tests?

I have had anxiety and depression for around 7 years now.  I have always just taken .5mg klonopin every morning. I was on Pristiq for several years, but earlier this year my doctor took me off of it to see if I could go without.  I could not.  He had me try lexapro,  which I did not like. I just started 150 mg Effexor XR about 10 days ago, waiting for it to kick in.  My depression and anxiety have been especially bad lately,  and I did start seeing a therapist last month, although I have only been once and he didn't seem to offer much insight, saying that my depression and anxiety probably would not benefit from CBT, which I don't believe.

Since you're so young and have had several tests it looks like your heart is just fine. Yes, many of us that have anxiety also get chest pain. We can also have GERD, indigestion and other stomach issues.
How long have you have anxiety? Are you in therapy and or taking any medication to help with it? I really recommend starting with therapy if you're not already doing that. It can help so much.
