Anxiety please help

I am almost 60 years old and woke up at 3am on nov 11 , 2006 to the room spinngin and could not get out of my bed. My son had to take me to the hospital , my blood pressure bottom Number was 164. They ran a MRI and said I did not have a stroke. I have always had High Blood Pressure but never that high . Iwent home that and then one week later returned with some kind of heartburn or somtehing in my chest.
Then everything happend, and I could'nt get out of bed, I could'nt sleep,  could'nt shower without help became scared to leave my house.Went nuts. I have no insurance so my children take me to the doctor.. They gave me Effesor (Spelling) for months and xanax and ambien. I took myself off of effesor and am trying to take myself off of xanax , every night I amd shaking and break .25 into pieces and then take .25 at night to get some sleep. I only still get about 3 hours of sleep a night. I shake all night and my brain feels crazy and out of it. it has almost been 2 years. I still cant get out of the house much an always fatigued. I lay in bed 99 % of the day, I pray all day for god to help me stop feeling crazy. I can't afford test but don't know what to do . Please any suggestions?

Rose, I am 56 and have had anxiety problems.  I realize you don't have insurance but there are always sliding scale offices listed under mental health.  You  have obviously seen a physcian and it is time to do something different.  You can even google your city and state and look for mental health providers or contact DHS.  It sounds like you have kinda lost your will to go on and that s not good.  Depression and anxiety have been my world.  I stay away from the ambien as my body just didn't do well with it.  I take Lexapro for a mood stabilizer and trazadone at night.  The purpose o a mood stabilizer is to provide energy aso.  Have they checked for an ulcer or hiatial hernia?  You have to find a solution and that means doing something different, most of us with anxiety can't hear God unil we are calm enough to listen, unfortuantely.  Take care of youself.

your case sounds very severe. i strongly reccomend you begin seeing a psychiatrist or psychologist or therapist.

also, i have used a book called the anxiety and phobia workbook which i found EXTREMELY helpful in lowering my anxiety. again, however, your case sounds quite severe so i think its important to seek professional help. but in the meantime, perhaps look for a self help book and try doing daily exercise and daily deep breathing. ive found those things to be helpful.
