Anxiety treatments????

hi there, i have been suffering from anxiety since i was 21 so thats 6 years now. i was diagnosed after the birth of my first child, and i believed at the time that i was dying from a heart condition. i was put on amitriptylin for around a year, and seemed to kinda work a little at the time. however 6 years on, and another child later, my symptoms are more severe than at the beggining, and when im having a panic attack i have no control over them anymore. Im dealing with the symptoms everyday; anxiousness, dizziness, palpitations, funny feeling in my throat, tightness in chest etc. i have two beautiful children and am looking for other treatment options other than anti-anxiety/depression medication, as i have two children and dont want the drowsy side effects. I am desperate.....as i have gotten to the point where i wont leave the house....any suggestions?

hi im 15 and i have been suffering from anxiety since i was 11 so i feel you pain its not something easy i am on xanax but trying to get off. pills will help but there not good for a long time, from what your saying it sounds like you have anxiety, it would help if you go to therapy and take some kind of medication to help you. Do things that you enjoy i knows it hard to with anxiety but try. your not the only one there is help, hang in there i assure you that things will eventually get better
