Anxiety when in a car

Does anyone else get very anxious when in a car or any moving vehicle? Recently I have been so terrified to get in a car or even the school bus. I did get into a car accident 3 years ago (my mom was driving) where we hit a deer and the airbags went off but no one was hurt and I wasn't fazed at the time. Whenever i'm in a car now i feel my stomach clenching and it's hard to breathe. I feel like i'm gonna throw up and it doesn't stop until i'm out of the car. This didn't start happening until recently but it's quite severe. Could it have to do with the fact that I'll get my permit in a year or two? Its the worst on highways or areas with heavy traffic. Ive even started having nightmares about driving at night on an empty rode and hitting a deer. Im also scared to drive in the rain. Sorry for the long post, any help would be appriciated!

It does not have to be this way!
We all have options.
I'm the successful survivor of 2 horrific accidents (both NDEs)  and it's a miracle I'm alive to write about it today.
But again, I don't buy into conventional thinking which limits my potential,
NO MATTER WHAT!
But I cannot do it for you, I can only encourage you to BECOME the person you really want to be.

Cheers!

I know how you feel.  I was in a car accident 11 months ago and feel very nervous approaching intersections.  The hard part is driving through the road I T-boned someone (who pulled out unexpectedly).  I can relate, so hold on.  CBT helped me a lot with other anxiety, even though I'm not "cured".  You can check out some worksheets online for free.  Some will go like, "What are the odds percentage-wise you think this will happen?" next question: "What do you think another person would rate this likelihood (percentage-wise)"  "What results do you fear will happen as a result of this event?" "What percentage would you think this is likely to happen to someone else?" "What would you tell someone who had that fear?".  Then you might revisit what percentage likelihood you think it will happen, which might just have lowered by using the reasoning.  It's nice with the worksheets because they make it very clear and physical.  You can't argue with your own handwriting on a piece of paper.  I recommend to print many and use as needed, even if halfway filled out. http://media.psychology.tools/worksheets/english_us/health_anxiety_thought_record_en-us.pdf

Good day cmd23, 6 years ago I was involved in horrible car accident and my right leg was fractured. After that incident, i cant drive car for 3 years due to trauma and anxiety. I cant sleep whenever im on the road.

Now i can drive again but whenever someone honk at me, i'll get anxiety a lil bit.

Few years ago, anxiety was my best friend. At that time, i realize that my only fear is death. In order to get rid of anxiety, i convince myself that every living thing will die. So, i dont care anymore if i die. After all, death will find me anyway.

Finally, my anxiety gone without any medication. You should face your fear and put that away.

Hey cmd23, I believe you have associated car/bus travel with the traumatic event, which has remained unprocessed/stuck in your energy field, causing a disruption of your energy flow.
I'm not sure about the specific triggers, however, it might have to do with
anything that elicits anxiety and fear, associated with the original event.

A good Energy Medicine Practitioner should be able to help you clear this.
I'm an Advanced EFT Practitioner and this seems like a textbook case.
If you need to look into this further, let me know the state you live in and I can send you some information.

hope this helps, however, my comments are not intended to replace medical advice.

Best wishes,
Niko
