OH and if it makes you feel better than go and get your heart checked  out I did but all it is is anxiety and be careful what you look up online I did that for some feelings and when you have anxiety and read an article say for like cancer or diabetes and the symptoms are the same as what you have,it is only going to get your mind into the thinking of i DO have this. I went and got tested for diabetes and hypoglycemia because some of the symptoms matched what I was feeling and so for a while before the test  I felt like what I read. It's justa mind game and you have to beat it!! Lemme know if I can be of any help!

My heart did that all the time when my anxiety was bad and now that I've learned to tell myself it's just anxiety. At times I will still feel my heart like it wants to start and sometimes it will still skip a beat or pause or something. The key thing to overcoming anxiety is to get yourself into the mindset of this is what it is and nothing else and not paying attention to it. When I went to my phychyatrist that's what he told me and I was already doing that. If you suddenly feel like you're gonna die or have a heart attack and if that feeling can get you anxious mentally dare that feeling. If you think you'll die if you do so and so or whatever just say kill me now and things like that. it sounds retarded but it will mentally tell you after the first few times that it ISN"T and CAN"T hurt you and that anxiety will lessen. Whatever you feel like you can't do because of that feeling DO! I would sometimes have my legs feel really heavy or like they were paralyzed so I would move them around it tells you that it's just a feeling and soon you will mentally tell yourself that what you are feeling is anxiety and you won't even pay attention to it anymore. It can be hard to do and you may think this is stupid it wont do anything and the first few times it might not do anything but eventually it will Trust me! I've had this for almost a year now and I had it extrmely bad at the begging but there's nothing anyone but you can do! So just always mentally overcome it! That's all you can do! I know it will be hard frustrating and sometimes even a waste of time but trust me it works! I went from feeling sick and like i was going to die 24/7 to almost normal! I still have a few things such as that weird head feeling and heart palpitations to work on but I know  I can overcome it and so can you! Sorry this is so long but I know what it's like to be scared of this and being so desperate for answers. Just keep telling yourself it's anxiety and nothing else! Also if you have it when you drive or something i found what can help overcome it then is getting a song you know by heart and love listening to it loud and singing to it. Then you are into the song and not what you are feeling! I really hope this helps and feel free to ask me questions or advice and if i can help i will!!! Good luck with this! you can do it!!

What you are feeling is normal for somone who suffers from anxiety. I've been dealing with those symptoms on and off for the last few weeks. KMK31 is right, the best thing for you right now may be to have those tests done so you can prove to yourself that its the anxiety and nothing else. I've often thought about doing the same thing because I  tend to convince myself that it's a heart attack when deep down I know it's just the anxiety. I always have a friend of family member take my pulse or blood pressure for quick reassurance when I'm having heart palpitations. Somthing you should keep in mind is that you are not alone in feeling this way. It's normal to be dealing with paranoia when you are suffering from anxiety. Anxiety causes us to jump to these conclusions, we tend to convince ourselves that there is somthing more serious going on.

I know that this is easier said then done but try to sit down, relax and take a few deep breaths. Maybe look up some breathing exercises.

Hi, I do suffer from palpitations and racing heart beat, it can feel like your heart skips a beat sometimes and can take your breath away or even make you feel faint but if it is palpitations then its nothing to worry about although they can be scary.... the best thing to stop you worrying about this is to see your Doctor about having an ECG, when i was having bad heart panic attacks a few years back i had about 3 ECGs as i was convinced i was having a heart attack but they were always fine...... be careful about googling symptoms on the net as this can make you worse, I know i've done it myself.  Try not to worry and the best thing is to always consult the medical professionals if you are concerned.  Take Care!!

OH and another thing, doctors don't know much about anxiety so if you are having more than just the head feeling,I would reccomned that you see a psychiatrist and see if that helps you...mine helped me some but personal I didn't like him that much. I think sometihng like this is something that only the person can mentally overcome. so that might help you to look into that too.

Hey
I have been dealing with that weird head feeling for almost a year now. It's very hard to explain but you feel like your not really there and sometimes like everythings in two d and you are watching everything like its a movie and the spaced out and all that. I went to someone for anxiety and that helped a bit but i think the head thing is just something you are going to have to overcome alone. I just posted a question on here about that too and got some good answers so you might want to check those. I'vr had to go for heart tests and so ,many blood tests and my doctor and the guy i went to for the panic didn't even understand that head feeling. just don't get sucked into it. Fight it with you know you are fine and it will make it lessen and I think eventually we'll be able to just outgrow it. Another thing, when I went I didn't (and still don't) know what could be causing it,but just knowing that you are ok and other people are dealing with it does help alot!!

Sorry I havn't replied till now, hope I can still help!
Would you describe the way you feel as an out of body experience/sensation? Somtimes I have these moments that feel very surreal as well, I get this feeling of just existing but at the same time not. I don't know if I'm describing it correctly but I really hate when get that sensation. I don't think you need a head scan but if it would make you feel better about what's going then you should. Also if you want to make sure there is nothing else wrong.

Hey and well its very hard to explain how I feel because you mite not understand fully.
But its like I sort of feel spaced out and as if everything is surreal around me and floaty as if Im not there in a way ... Iv read post on the internet from other people and they said they feel the same way and its an anxiety disorder.

I have seen a doctor and i told her how i feel and told her i think it mite be anxiety. But she just replied "what have you got to be anxious about" ? and sent me for a load of heart scans and blood tests.

Im waiting for the results atm. . how do you think it would be for me to explain to my doctor better how i feel ? should i go for a head scan to make sure it isnt sumthing else?

Please reply : )

Anxiety is tough. I had anxiety issues as a little kid but then seemed to grow out of it. I recently started having severe anxiety from a medication. Have you been diagnosed with anxiety disorder recently? What kind of symptoms are you having?

My anxiety was due to low serotonin levels, my situation may be very different from yours but what helped me to calm down was jasmin tea. Maybe have a hot cup of jasmin tea once a day. Also, if you havn't already, see a doctor.
