Anxiety

What does anxiety do to your brain? Recently, my left eye got injured and anxiety has made me a depressed person. I went to the doctor and they said my eyes were fine but I can't stop thinking about going blind. I had anxiety attack and my head feels heavy and my feet and hand got numb.

i understand like i said in my last post my dep/anxiety started form "chronic migraine" 2 months ago i realized i was dep/anxious and started thereapy and meds. I think we need to first try to learn to "accept" which is the hardest part for me and try to retrain the brain that s where meds and therapy is the best in my opinion! are u on meds apple? do u go to therapy?

It's more about what we do to our brain to create anxiety. Obcessing about going blind when the doctors have told you that your eyes are fine, is creating a lot of anxiety which causes the symptoms you describe.  Anxiety feeds off our fears and worrying, and creates a vicious cycle. You can break this cycle by accepting that your eyes are fine.  This may be easier said than done, and this is where therapy can be a big help to you.
I would see a psychiatrist regarding your depression and excessive worrying so the two of you can decide what course of treatment would be best for you.  Know you're not alone, we all understand and care.  If you read some of the posts on here you will see that there are many dealing with what you are.  There is help, I hope you take advantage of it because you don't want to worry your life away. Take care.
