Any Canadians from Ontario here?

Hi all,

This is the situation I'm in.  I've been on Clonazepam for the past 11 years for my panic disorder and it has been the drug for me.  I've tried SSRIs in the past, and they all made me ill - I cannot tolerate them.  I am able to live again, so it gave me back my life.

The problem is that the doctor who started me on this treatment has since retired.  My new doctor is nervous of continuing to prescribe this medication to me because he's misinformed on the fact that not all the benzodiazepines develop tolerance, especially in those who do not have addictive personalities, which I do not, and he knows this.

The problem is, he only has two psychiatrists in this area he has to refer his patients to, and he said that his patients have given him negative feedback on both of them.    

So I'm in the process of trying to find a psychiatrist, or a general practitioner that isn't opposed to treating panic disorder with the long-term use of Clonazepam in the Southwestern Ontario region.  

Does anyone know of a doctor in this area that is more than willing to treat you with Clonazepam? If so, would you mind sending me a message or post with their name so that I can call to see if they're accepting patients?  I'd like to make sure they aren't opposed to Clonazepem before making an appointment.  

I would greatly appreciate it.
