I have General Anxiety Disorder and haven't ever experienced what you described. Mabe you should have it checked just in case its something unrelated to anxiety.
Good luck :)
My arms get like that all the time, it is usually in my left arm, which freaks me out, I have even been admitted the hospital and they did all the stress test stuff on me. I dont know why it dose it,, if freaks me out every time... I have gone three days with this tightness, and pain, in my arm,, then it just goes away,,
If it is bothering you I would go to the doc just to ease your mind,, I know that if I have a symptom that doesnt go away in two weeks then I go to the doc, but I give it two weeks before I go,,
If I went to the doc every time I had a new pain I would be in there every other day,,
I hope it gets better for you,
Thanks for your posts. You know, I think I used to have this same symptom years ago when I was in a depression. I remember complaining about my arms being tight. And I'm going thru a mild depression now so I am thinking it is anxiety related. The arms don't feel as bad today. Have been taking Klonopan for a few days and I think it's starting to kick in. Thanks for your helpful comments. Have a good day!
Hi. I have ben suffering with anxiety for about 18 months now. My arms feel real heavy sometimes and i get pain mainly in my left arm which of course makes me more anxious and so on and so on. I also get a sore like tingling in my hand. I oo have had ecg etc. all ok.Sorry i cant help but for me its good to know other people have same symptoms and are ok.
Yes, I have tight upper arms, shoulders , spine, neck , jaw, very frustrating. It is partly posture and partly anxiety. Just experiment with different sitting postures where your arms and spine are well rested. It probably is that your trapezius and neck muscles have tightened up. A good physio session to remove some trigger points may be useful. But check with your doctor first- there is no underlying major health issues.
Good luck :)
