Anyone living in NYC?

I was wondering if anyone of you in this forum lives in the NYC area. I'm asking because I think it would be great to maybe start some kind of support group for us. If anybody would be interested that lives in the NYC area please message me. I think this forum is a lot of help and I cant help but think about how much help it would be to have a support group as well. Please let me know.

It's amazing how many self help groups there are out there, and how many people need support in various areas.  I think your idea is a good one.  I live in NJ, and love to come into the city.  Let me know how things go!

Yes, there are a lot of self help groups but I havent found any groups here in NYC for anxiety/panic disorder. Nobody else has responded so I dont know how well its going to turn out. But can I add you to the list?

I live in Yonkers but I work in the city. I would love to have some kind of a support group for anxiety/panic disorder because I am a MESS.  Please add me to the list.

Cooool!! The thing is I really dont know how to start this. I guess once we have a decent size group we can set something up. Do you have any ideas as to where we can have meetings and stuff? OOOOOh I'm excited, lol. It would be great to meet others that are messes just like us, lol. How many do u think we would need to actually start?

The only stipulation to getting help is you and another person....Just two people who want help is considered a meeting....I must confess I only know this because of AA.  I was drinking way too much to relieve my anxiety.  I found help through AA.  I found that my anxiety never left, and felt like I was crazy and all alone.  Through this forum I know I'm not any different that anyone else suffering through this.  No matter who you talk to, if they don't understand what you're going through, it won't help.  Just us unfortunates who suffer can help one and other.

Hmmmm..let's see.  You live in BK, right?  I live in Yonkers, don't know where other NY people live.  In the city somewhere, I guess, maybe like a Starbucks or somewhere?

I live in the city.  I think this could be a great idea.  I work during the day but evenings would be wonderful.

Me too.  I work from 9-5 downtown.  After that I'm free and on weekends.
