Thanks everyone! I actually started it yesterday. I was sooo scared to take it yesterday, I called my B/F crying. But I was more afraid not to, with the way I have been feeling. I just pray I have no bad side effects. I think prozac and zoloft are the safest. So far (even though its only been 2 days) Im feeling better, just tired. Maybe its a subconscious thing, hoping to feel bettter soon . Thanks again all!!
Try and hang in there the best of your ability! Try hard to not think about yourself and just htink about the baby and tlel yourself your hormones are changing which is going to make you feel better and all the prenatal vitmains also.
My doctor told me Zoloft is the safest drug during pregnancy i'm not sure whether that is true or what.
i took this during pregnancy. I have read horrible reports about SSRI's during late pregnancy but actually came across an article the other day that said that Zoloft and something else were the safest ones during pregnancy. Thank God my son turned out ok. You just have to weigh the benefits and the risks. Check out www.rxlist.com
hi hunni how you doing? have you started the zoloft? i just been prescribed it too but i havent started it im petrified of meds. let me know how your getting on x
(can you edit a post?) Anyway, I just realized that your question involved pregnancy and zoloft- sorry I missed that part the first time.
When I was first diagnosed with Generalized Anixiety Disorder, I took Zoloft everyday - can't remember the dosage. But, it helped tremendously. I also coupled it with talk therapy. I was on it for 6 months and came right off of it as recommended by my doctor. I then only used Xanax as needed for emergencies. This was a few years ago but things have been getting bad again lately for me and I've considered the Zoloft again but not sure that I will go back on it - I always try to "tough it out" even when deciding to take the Xanax (which is part of my problem). I remember feeling a little funny at first from the Zoloft but nothing major and it was very temporary. I'm usually very sensitive to medications but it was OK for me. Good Luck
