Are my symptoms connected to HIV?

I have had sex with a guy whom I known for years two to three weeks ago. Anyway, in march, he had sex with a guy who he doesn't know very well. He is most certain that the guy he had sex with is not hiv positive, but I'm sure it's possible. I, on the other side, haven't had sex with anyone besides him.
We've had unprotected sex both ways, both of us reversing from top to bottom. He claims that he didn't have an orgasm while in me, but I don't think that matters. And he also said that he didn't have any symptoms of early HIV infection, while I have, on the other side. It's now two to three weeks after it happened, and I've been having this dull pains in inner arms, reaching from my palm up to above my elbow. It hurts when I move my arms and it doesn't seem like a sore muscle (also knowing that I didn't pursue any physical activity that would cause a sore muscle).
My lymph nodes are also quite swollen and I've felt really fatigued and tired in the last few days. Altough I didn't have fever or temperature, I have grown feeble a bit yesterday, but it went away today. I also had a strong cough which led to me coughing out blood through saliva. That can also be a sign of smoking, so I didn't take that too serioiusly.
I think I might be a little paranoid, but the pain in my arms sure exists. If you think that may have been concerning something else, I would appreciate your help anyways. I'm only 18 and soon going to college, so I don't really have anyone to talk to about this, so any help is really welcome. My parents don't know about any of this, nor do my best friends. I'm extremelly scared to go get tested and I don't know what to do.

Your symptoms really aren't consistent with acute HIV infection, especially the lack of fever.  A very high fever almost ALWAYS accompanies the other ARS symptoms.

That being said, you need to get tested.  A DUO at 4 weeks will give you a good indication of your status, and a follow up antibody test at 3 months post exposure will be conclusive.

PLEASE commit to ALWAYS using condoms for anal sex.  If you don't, HIV is a very likely outcome for you.

Good luck!

You are not alone in this for sure.We all understand what you are going through,we have been there too.As the experts here say the symptoms...or the luck of symptoms will never tell you if you have hiv or not.I have done plenty of googling and I never read anything about acute hiv infection and cough or spitting blood.I think that you should test at 12 weeks mark....not only because you had uprotected sex but mostly for your oun peace of mind.Pain in the arms and feeling fatuige means nothing.I recomend you to wait 6 weeks from the incident and test..then test again at 3 months for a conclusive resault.I wish you the best of luck!
