Are you sure it's not a heart attack??????

I need some reassurance right now. It began with my normal anxiety attack coming on and I tried my breathing techniques and stuff but nothing helped.

I am so sorry for spamming my own thread but I find that it helps me with my anxiety to get these things out.

This one sure is a big one. It is really making me feel like I am having something else going on. I can go 5 minutes feeling calm and then my stomach hurts, I feel like I can't breath, and I am dizzy and then back to feeling calm. For some reason I cannot get the breathing techniques down.

At first, I knew it was a panic attack so I did what the psychologist told me to do and I took my meds. With the shortness of breath, it's more like I can breath fine, I am just not getting oxygen.

Well, I have taken Clorazepate a few times before and I do not think this is from that. This feels like my normal anxiety attack with the exception of feeling smothered off and on for the past hour and a half. I have no chest discomfort or arm pain, but I am now nauseated and dizzy. I have had a series of panic attacks for the past few months but I had not had one in over 3 weeks now and things are pretty good in my life. I broke up with a girl that I think was part of my anxious problem and I am going on a vacation to the beach on Thursday, however it is going to drain my finances, and that may be my anxious problem.

Another note, this attack has really got me puzzled. By now, the meds would've helped. I am calmed down but I feel like I am smothering and I am dizzy.

Notify the physician who prescribed the Clorazepate and describe to him or her what symptoms you are having.

Reassurance:  Doubtful that you are experiencing a myocardial infarct.  However, better safe than sorry.

Please make the call and send me an email to let me know the outcome.

I am trying to calm down but no help. Here is a little about me, real quick. I had blood work done about 4 months ago and everything was fine. My mom is my hypochondriac mentor, go figure, but she also has heart problems (Congestive heart failure, murmurs, and irregular beats) and I have the occasional arrhythmia.

I took my meds when I felt one coming on (Clorazepate) but it's not helping and that was about an hour ago, but the shortness of breath won't go away.
