Ativan and dizziness Please advice if you can

Ok i have blamed my dizzines on all my meds and i stopped them and still dizzy,Im still on ativan(since aug 08 and risperdal since sept 08) i have been taking my ativan like this wondering if this could be my problem...1/2 mg at 4 am,1/2 mg at 6 am 1/2 mg 9 am 1/2 mg at 11 30 am 1/2 mg 2 pm 1/2 mg at 5 pm,not exceeding the 3 mg i am prescribed,I know when i was first on ativan 1 mg lasted me 8 hours,,,,later it went ot like 6 hours so i stated taking them in half and the last week i have pretty much taking them as above,,today i have made it 4 hours between 1/2 mg.The dizziness is getting to where i cant function and my anxiety is getting worse,,any thoughts

I have been on ativan for over 20 years now and it makes me tired.  But it does relax me.  I am on 3 mgs daily 1 in the morning and two before bed.
