After 90 days of chronic anxiety and panic attacks - I have a do give me a script for Ativan to take until the Paxil kicks in. It was amazing I was completely normal today for the first time in 3 months?

I was able to spend a wonderful day with my wife and had plenty of energy. I will use it spaingly to get me over the hump, but man what a wonderful pharmaceutical creation

Thank you God!!!

Yes, it is.  I took it for 1.5 years to sleep and then tapered off to Tranxene.  It is good that you use it sparingly.  It does, like any other benzo, lose it's "power" after a while, but it honestly took me 1.5 yrs of taking the max dose (2mg) to even feel it starting to weaken.  Keep in mind, it can be addictive (I had no addictive probs with it, but I did have some withdrawal anxiety when i went off of it - but I don't have an addictive personality).  So, I am glad it is helping you.  Hopefully the Paxil will kick in and do the trick so you can do without.  Don't fret if you still have to use it though.  I have to usually have an antidepressant and a benzo to keep my nasty anxiety away.

Take care!:)
