Benedryl w/Anxiety meds

I was taking Omincef for an ear infection and had an allergic reaction to it. Had horrible swelling in my hands & feet. My Drs office is closed until monday so I called the Pharmacist we has all my RX's on file and she advised me to take a Benedryl as she didnt want it to worsen as I had been on the antobiotc a few days. Now I had alreeady taken .75 xanax & allegra. She had said take it anyway if anything you will feel tired. I called my sister in law who is a nurse she suggested the same. I did take it and slept from 9:30pm until 11am this morning. I feel really hung over & very off. I didnt take my paxil last night bc i was afraid too much in my system.  Im afraid to take my allegra (which i do need for my ears) today bc I just dont feel right. I just took my paxil bc I feel withdrawl after not taken 1 night.
Im trying to stay calm and not get myself all in a panic. I have never had any reaction like that before but never been on that drug. Ususally when i need an antibiotic its amox or augmenten.
Do you think by tomorrow I will feel like me again and not all unsteady & hungover-ish?

The more you use antibiotics the more you're going to need them, because they kill off part of the immune system that protects you from harmful agents.  Ear infections can be dealt with in other ways.  But once you start an antibiotic, you generally need to finish it so the bacteria doesn't become resistant.  This is, therefore, a question for a specialist at this point.  But in the future, you might find it better to try a naturopath.  In the meantime, when you do finish your antibiotics or whatever, start taking a good probiotic in the refrigerated section of your local health food store to replenish the good flora the antibiotics have killed off.  But don't stop the Paxil; you know what will happen and you don't need that problem, too.
