Benzo Withdrawal

My mother has been off benzos for 3.5 weeks now.. is having suicidal thoughts and is having trouble.  I read that the symtoms (symptoms) peak at 3 months!! How will she make it to 3 months without commiting suicide?? And what should I do? If she goes to a pysch hospital they cant really help her because it isnt a physiactric condition.. its withdrawal right?

how long has your mother been on benzos? also is she coming off cold turkey? if she is thats not good, she should be tapering off her dose. if she is having suicidal toughts then she absolutely needs to go to see her doctor if they are that bad then she should go to the emerg room asap.

He was taking them for 7 months.  They were for insomnia.. but they did not help the insomnia at all so her doctor took her off of them. She was on kolopin then was given ativan to withdraw off the klonopin.  then was put on diazepam to get off the ativan.  She was on Diazepam for a very short time. ( maybe 2 weeks ) then she was taken off of them and that was 3.5 weeks ago.  We have an apt with her doctor weds, who we told about the suicidal thoughts and he still did not up the appointment.  We only see him once a month and this month is is this weds.  The biggest problem is that we are affraid to have her put on any other medicine because she has bad reactions to all medicine she was put on.
