Breathing

I am trying to quit the meds (buspar and ativan) and was wondering  does the breathing help with dizziness and nervousness in the stomach.  The anxiety that I have exspierenced has not been a racing heart all the time.  I t generally starts in the belly then I become dizzy.  Horrible fealing by the way.
Back to the original question does the breathing help with this?  I usually dont have many attacks anymore but had one out of the blue on sat.  I told myself I was going to be fine but it still came on anyway.  My heart did not race during this period.  The funny thing was I was working fine then pow it come on l;ike a ton of bricks.  I try to do a few minutes of breathing an hour to keep my body from becoming stressed.  I know it calms a racing heart but I didnt know about the rest of the anxiety issues.
Any in put would be awesome.

Breathing exercises can and do help in my opinion, but that is what is so nasty about anxiety attacks in my opinion; what you describe is exactly how I picture panic attacks when they come out of nowhere. First of all, just ensure you do not stop your medication cold turkey; do it under the advice of your doctor.  Second, have you had any talk therapy to learn about your anxiety/panic?  For me, gaining the long term knowledge to confront this is VERY valuable and essential to not only dealing with this, but actually thriving with it...keep us posted!

I just started a therapist. Its funny I am in the middle of one right now. popped out of nowhere.  again no racing heart.  Just feals like I am uneasy in my stomach and a bit of dizzyness.  These are horrible. I am going to try breathing to see if it will go away.  I used to be so vibrant and strong now it seems I am lurking around waiting for a panic attack.

I read the book panic away (6 times)  I would love to try the one move tecjnique but I do not want anymore pvcs.  Thanks for the post I am off to breath my way through..
