Burning Sensations

I Have had panic disorder off and on for 8yrs. Back in 2006 I was on name brand Paxil CR 12.5 for a yr. It helped me soo much!! WEll it was very hard getting off of it but,I managed. Well, I was panic free until this yr. it has been so hard! So I tried to get back on the CR well on day 3 of taken it I had a burning feeling in my arms and chest that freaked me out so I didnt take it anymore. But I need something so bad to help me with these panic attacks. I was wondering if this is a normal thing to happen? and If i stick with it will the burning go away? Or do I need to try something else? I want to try this again for which it did so great before. Also what causes the medcine to make your body react in that way?

Thanks:)

What is causing the medicine to make your body react in that way? Ok let's put yourself in the body's pants. You get an intruder coming and it's a chemical. What do you do? You tell the host (you) by producing symptoms.

These symptoms are usually an adaptation period which your body must go thru before they go away.

In rare case it will be an allergic reaction and yes it will require you to stop taking the medication immediately.

Call your pharmacist and explain your symptoms with the most details possible and he will be able if it's an allergic reaction.

I highly doubt it's an allergic reaction since you have been on Paxil before but you never know. Some people can develop allergies later in their life.
