CELEXA

by timeless_grace, May 17, 2007 12:00AM
Hi, I am currently taking Celexa (10mg a day) at night to help with my stress and anxiety so that I can sleep at night.  I want to take my diet pills again. I stopped taking them when I started Celexa because I didn't know what kind of reactions I would get.  But because I am taking such a low dose of Celexa do you think it would still be okay to take diet pills? The ones I have are drug and ephedra free but I think I want to take Hoodia or something.  And please don't tell me to exercise, eat right, and stay active because I already do those things. I'm a young college student, I'm obsessed with health and fitness...Thank you for your time.

I find that all diet pills speed up your metabolism...therefore increase heartrate and, most likely, cause anxiety...I feel that if you are struggling with anxiety, diet pills are the LAST thing you should take...of course, consult with your doctor first before taking them.

I agree (once again) with Suzi-Q.  If you did not have anxiety until you began taking diet pills, then the are the sole cause of your "anxiety" symptoms.  Diet pills are extremely dangerous and very much so disrupt your system.

Best........
