Having a bad day....I have been feeling so good lately then I did something I shouldn't of. I examined and pushed on the lesion on my leg that I have been worried about. For those of you that do not know, I had a biopsy on a lesion on my leg that the derm. suspected to be skin cancer. Good news is that it came back as a benignBenign ear cyst or tumor Benign positional vertigo solar lentigo. However, after reading on the internet about skin biopsies ..the derm. should of done an excisional biopsy rather than a shave biopsy (which is what he did). The internet states that a shave biopsy can leadLead poisoning to misdiagnosis of skin cancer, but in most cases the shave biopsy detects melanoma. I have been doing so well accepting the results. Please can someone give me some words of supportSupport Support 500 so that I can continue my day...I am trying to think positively.
I did speak with the nurse at the dr. office and she told me that an excisional biopsy would of been done if any cancer cells were found in the shave biopsy. I'm going to accept these results and move on.l
